Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 25, 2026

Overview

Smallr is a native Mac utility designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your files are yours alone. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost none) and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

Smallr does not collect, transmit, or store any of the files you compress. All processing happens entirely on your Mac. No files ever leave your device.

We do not collect:

How We Use Data

Since we do not collect personal data, we do not use it for any purpose.

Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any.

Third-Party Services

Smallr does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or attribution SDKs.

The only external service interaction is:

Data Retention

No user data is retained on our servers. Compression history (if enabled) is stored locally on your Mac and never transmitted.

Security

All file processing occurs locally on your device. We do not operate backend servers that could be compromised. Your files remain under your control at all times.

Your Choices & Rights

Because Smallr does not collect personal data, there is no account to delete or data to export. You can clear any local history from within the app at any time.

Children's Privacy

Smallr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

App Tracking Transparency

Smallr does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not use App Tracking Transparency because there is no tracking to disclose.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
